《荷马史诗》哪一个译本更好一些
楼上说的对,陈中梅的译文是最受好评的。
还有一本《古希腊神话与传说》(斯瓦布的)也可以,只是有种把史诗改成小说的感觉。
我想买《荷马史诗》,但是不知道谁翻译的比较好。希望有人能给我点意见,先谢谢了!
荷马史诗有两个常见的译本:王焕生的(人民文学)和陈中梅(上海译文)的。王焕生是专攻过古希腊语的,所以他的译本被称为经典,陈中梅的译本则有一些争议,有人认为更符合现代阅读习惯,有人则认为翻译的不好~~
另外,《罗念生全集》内还有一卷《伊利亚特》,不过罗念生没译完,嘱咐其弟子王焕生译完,后来这个两人合译完成的版本由人民文学出版社出版,补译已经译完全文了。在这之后,王焕生继续独自译完《奥德赛》,也由人民文学出版社出版,王译基本上是按照罗译的套路走的,有意和罗译保持风格上的一致。
陈中梅是一人独自完成了《伊利亚特》《奥德赛》两书的翻译,曾在多个出版社出过,如花城出版社、译林出版社、燕山出版社、上海译文出版社等,前后略有修订,在网上搜索也可以轻易找到电子版。
《奥德赛》另有杨宪益先生散文体译本,久未再版,现市面多不见。
以上版本均译自古希腊原文。
荷马史诗较早的有傅东华先生从英译本转译的散文版,现在亦多不见。
荷马史诗还有英译版,有名的有蒲伯、查普曼译本,他们的译法都是比较自由的,是上好的文学作品,但未必是忠实的译文。现代英译很多,Lattimore的是公认比较权威的译本之一。

(1)纸袋纸
